The European Commission has launched a call for researchers to create a fund of candidates fund to recruit the research fellows on a fixed-term contract.
According to this new system, the Commission announces a call expressing an interest in engagement the researchers of different profiles according to their needs.
This first call for expressions of interest is aimed to creation a database on candidates for the Group IV staff, which will provide the additional capacity in the area of research for the Commission’s needs, and in particular the Joint Research Center (JRC). This call is open to the citizens of the EU member states, candidate countries and countries associated to the HORIZON 2020 Program.
The researchers engaged by contracts, under the supervision of senior researchers, perform their duties as the members of the research team.
The candidate database is managed by the JRC, which reserves the right to close this call at any time.
