Sampling of solid and bulk materials of various size classes is carried out by the manual methods, using the probes and other supporting material.<\/p>\n<p>Preparation of samples for the needs of chemical testing consists of fragmentation operation, mass shortening and homogenization. Material fragmentation, depending on a grain size, can be done on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>laboratory jaw crushers, where the materials such as ore, rocks, slag, geological cores of size class up to 140 mm are crushed to the size class of 3-5 mm;<\/li>\n<li>laboratory ring and disc mills, where the materials of size class to 20 mm are ground to the size class less than 50 \u00b5m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Department for Sampling and Sample Preparation carries out the sampling of materials in solid and liquid state, as well as the preparation of samples for the needs of testing.
